The Asheville Citizen-Times today reports on the upcoming contest from the Institute of Emerging Issues at NC State University. Three innovative spaces in Asheville are among 23 state-wide entries that will be vying for public votes. According to Caitlin Byrd of the ACT, "One is a coworking space, another is a youth-minded nonprofit and the other is a climate-change collider. All three are Asheville groups competing this month in a statewide contest, Spaces for Innovation Challenge, designed to promote the state’s startup culture and spur economic growth."
